What is it?

Air Zoom is a Nike cushioning technology designed to deliver a fast and responsive feel. It uses a pressurised Air unit with tensile fibres inside, combining impact absorption with dynamic responsiveness during movement.

The position and configuration of the Air Zoom unit can vary depending on the shoe, allowing cushioning and responsiveness to be placed where they are needed most.

How does it work?

Inside the Air Zoom unit are tensioned fibres. When pressure is applied, the unit compresses to help absorb impact. As the pressure is released, the fibres help the unit quickly return to its original shape, creating a springy and responsive sensation.
